In Tasmania the fields bloom with poppies, pyrethrin and tulips. The tulips are best seen in September/ October. The pyrethrin flowers look like white daisies and are used to make insecticide. Tasmania's poppy-farming industry supplies half of the raw materials to make the world's opioid painkillers.
